Assistant Professor of Psychology
Holly Cole is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Wesleyan College, where she promotes equity and justice in teaching and research practices. Dr. Cole teaches several courses that focus on diversity and social biases at Wesleyan College including: The Manifestation of Stereotypes and Prejudice; Psychology of Gender; and Diversity, Justice and Ethics in the Workplace. She oversees research projects that often address racial and/or gender disparities in our communities. Dr. Cole has worked with the academic resource center at Wesleyan College to provide tutoring and orientation programs to students who are often underprepared for college coursework and has served on several diversity and inclusion committees in varying capacities. Key contributions to this project include expertise in relevant academic literature, practical connections with students who are directly impacted by racial biases, and an ability to conduct empirically sound data collection and analysis.
