Chief Diversity Officer, Dean for Equity and Inclusion, Title IX Coordinator, Inaugural Dean, Lane Center for Social and Racial Equity
Tonya Parker is the Chief Diversity Officer, Dean for Equity and Inclusion, Title IX Coordinator, and inaugural director of the Lane Center for Social and Racial Equity at Wesleyan College. Parker holds a M.Th. (Christian Life School of Theology, Columbus, GA), BA in English and Philosophy (Wesleyan College, Macon, GA), and Certificate in Building Resilience through Trauma-Informed Practices in Higher Education (Columbia College, Columbia, SC). She previously served as Director of Education & Outreach of the Tubman African American Museum (2012-2016) and Executive Camp and Program Director of Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, Inc. (2001-2012). Parker has been involved in DEI work since 2005 with a focus on creating and sustaining inclusive living and learning environments.
